..that’s what we strive to be for you here at National Networks. If this is your first time looking into National Networks, chances are you have dealt with other carriers or agents in the past. National Networks was founded by Paul Zunker who got his start in the telecommunications industry in 2001 by working in the sales department of one of those large national carrier based in Minneapolis. His focus there was on the hardware side of things, offering telephone systems and cabling to businesses. That particular carrier also had a large voice and data network as well but they had their own sales division for that side of things. As Paul progressed in his time there, he noticed a clear disconnect between the network side of the company and the hardware side. But he not only noticed it inside the carrier, he noticed it while he was on site at his customers businesses, and this started him thinking; "There has got to be a better way to provide these products and services together to my customers." That is when Paul left the direct carrier side and started getting his first taste of the agent world by going over to a small agent company based in the Minneapolis Metro area. It was there that he discovered that this was the answer that he had been looking for; that offering his customers multiple choices on the carrier and hardware side allowed those customers to find the product and service provider that was best suited for THEM, and he didn’t have to force them into a particular product set that wasn’t really in their best interest. Paul was then able to offer network services to his customers from a variety of carriers, again offering a much better selection that enabled his customers to find the right carrier for them and get the best possible price.
We Work as Direct Agents
Paul wanted to bring as much value to his customers as possible, so in 2009 he started National Networks with the goal of offering the same products and services that any business would get from a carrier or manufacturer direct at the same prices they would pay to them. "We do things a little different here" says Zunker. "We work as direct agents of our core carriers so we are able to offer the services of those carriers to our customers at the same price that they would pay if they purchased the same services directly from the carrier." National Networks never bills a customer for products or services. All of the billing comes direct from the carriers and installers so you know that you are paying exactly what you should be; no mark-ups and no padding thrown in. "People often ask us how we get paid," said Zunker. "It’s simple really. The carrier pays us a commission just like they would pay a commission to one of their direct sales reps. It’s good for us and it’s great for the carrier since they no longer have all the expenses that go along with having an employee. It’s a win-win."
All it Takes is a Single Call
As a customer of National Networks you will always know who your carrier is which enables you to contact them directly if you need to. Paul saw other agents doing their own billing and that led to inflated bills to the customer and the customer never knowing who their underlying carrier is. He made the commitment that National Networks would always maintain that layer of transparency to their customers, and he has held true to that. Another tremendous value to the customers of National Networks is the true partnership relationship that exists. Zunker knows that owners or managers in companies have other things to do than to get wrapped up in a telecom problem. If there is ever an outage all it takes is a simple call to National Networks and they get the ball rolling in getting trouble tickets opened and techs dispatched to correct that problem. Customers all too often have horror stories on how hours and sometimes days are spent trying to get a problem fixed all the while their business has no voice or internet services. National Networks knows how to expedite those things and they leverage the resources available to them from within the carriers to bring a quick resolution to each problem. If the problem is between the phone system and the carrier, National Networks can handle both sides of that, eliminating the finger pointing of one to the other. All of this means less down time for you and more time doing the things that are critical to the success of your company.
